Charles has more than 30 years of experience in Architectural Design/Documentation and has been a Board-Certified Architect for 23 of those years. After acquiring a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Kansas in 1988, he moved to Aspen, Colorado, where he practiced architecture for 14 years.  There, in snow-country, Charles gained knowledge of “Destination Resort Architecture,” designing and working on alpine skiing facilities and resort-base developments throughout the Rocky Mountains and beyond.  He has worked on large resort hotels, restaurants, bars, retail, and high-end custom homes throughout the Western United States, France, and South Korea.  Since moving to Santa Fe in 2002, he has worked on numerous LEED-certified civic housing projects, commercial properties, medical and dental facilities, and his passion, custom-home design.

Charles lives in Santa Fe.  He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, but grew up in the Mid-West where he met his wife, Reena.  He enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, biking and golf, and you may find him working on watercolor or oil paintings while camping.
